Full Job Description

Accounting Clerk LHH is seeking a dependable Accounting Clerk to support daily accounting operations within a fast-paced business environment. This role is responsible for processing transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with payroll and tax-related activities, and supporting month-end close functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to producing accurate work while meeting deadlines. This position is temp to hire and will pay between $20 and $22/hr. Job Duties

Process and validate sales and financing transactions within the company's accounting system.
Review account activity and perform reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and complete.
Investigate discrepancies and prepare correcting journal entries when necessary.
Maintain commission tracking reports and employee compensation spreadsheets.
Provide support with payroll audits and review payroll reports for accuracy.
Assist with preparing and submitting tax-related filings and supporting documentation.
Support month-end and year-end accounting activities, including account analysis and reporting.
Organize and maintain financial records, spreadsheets, and accounting documentation.
Collaborate with accounting staff on special projects and process improvements.
Perform additional administrative and accounting tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and work effectively under deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Previous accounting, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or clerical accounting experience preferred.
Experience working in a high-volume transactional environment is beneficial but not required.

Schedule & Compensation

Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
Flexible start time within standard business hours.
Occasional overtime may be required during month-end and peak workload periods.
