Kevin Turner Painting is growing, and we're looking for dependable, hardworking painters who take pride in their work and want an opportunity to develop their skills and grow with our company.
You do not need to be a Crew Lead or master painter to apply. We are open to painters with varying levels of experience, but previous painting, construction, remodeling, or other hands-on trade experience is strongly preferred.
Your starting pay will be based on your current experience and demonstrated skill level.
PAY
$22–$28 per hour based on experience and demonstrated ability.
Painters who can independently perform more aspects of the job—including preparation, cutting, rolling, spraying, and finish work—can qualify for higher starting pay.
As your skills, productivity, and responsibilities increase, there are opportunities to increase your compensation and advance within the company.
WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON
Our work is varied, so you won't necessarily be doing the same thing every day.
Projects include:
- Residential and commercial interior repaints
- Exterior painting
- Kitchen cabinet refinishing
- Concrete and garage floor coatings
- JellyFish permanent lighting installation
- Drywall repair and surface preparation
- Trim, doors, walls, ceilings, and detailed finish work
Most of our projects are concentrated in Johnson County and the surrounding Kansas City metro area.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Previous experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Interior painting
- Exterior painting
- Brush and roller application
- Cutting clean lines
- Airless spraying
- Masking and jobsite protection
- Surface preparation
- Sanding and caulking
- Drywall patching and repair
- Trim and detail work
- Kitchen cabinet refinishing
- Fine-finish spraying
- Concrete coatings
- Construction or remodeling
- Permanent lighting installation
You do not need to know everything on this list. Your starting pay will reflect your current skill level, and there is an opportunity to learn additional skills on the job.

We specialize in interior and exterior painting, kitchen cabinet refinishing, concrete coatings, and JellyFish permanent lighting installation.
Our business has been built on repeat customers, referrals, and a strong reputation for quality. We maintain a high review standard because we know our next customer is often referred by the last customer whose home we painted.
