Senior Full-Stack .NET Developer
Location: Connecticut
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: 90,000–110,000, depending on experience
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Full-Stack .NET Developer to become the primary feature developer for Ignite CRM, a production SaaS platform serving powersports dealerships.
This is a hands-on development role for someone who can take ownership of substantial application projects from planning through completion.
Projects will typically begin with clearly defined functional requirements, business objectives, success criteria, relevant database structures, and, when appropriate, UI mockups or design direction. From there, you will be expected to independently develop a technical plan, implement the feature, test it thoroughly, resolve issues discovered during development, and deliver a production-ready result.
This is not a role where every development step will be broken down and assigned individually. We are looking for someone who can understand an existing production application, make sound engineering decisions within established architectural boundaries, and drive a project to completion without requiring continuous supervision.
What You’ll Do
- Design and develop new features across a C#/.NET and Blazor application.
- Own assigned development projects from technical planning through implementation, testing, and completion.
- Build and integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Develop backend services, APIs, business logic, and Blazor user interfaces.
- Work extensively with Microsoft SQL Server, including tables, stored procedures, views, queries, and existing database structures.
- Review existing code and application patterns before implementing new functionality.
- Identify technical risks, edge cases, security concerns, and integration issues during development.
- Raise significant requirement conflicts or architectural concerns before proceeding rather than making unsupported assumptions or reducing project scope.
- Write maintainable, production-quality code and appropriate automated tests.
- Perform end-to-end testing against defined functional requirements and success criteria.
- Troubleshoot and improve existing application functionality when necessary.
- Provide code review, technical guidance, and day-to-day development support to a junior developer.
- Help maintain development quality and consistency as the application continues to grow.
Working Within an Established Application
Ignite CRM is an established production application with existing architectural patterns, database conventions, security boundaries, development standards, UI patterns, and application workflows.
A key requirement of this position is the ability to extend the existing application within those established patterns.
We are looking for a developer who will first understand how the application is currently designed and then build new functionality consistently within that framework.
This role is not intended for someone who wants to replace existing technologies, introduce new architectural patterns simply because they are personally preferred, or redesign portions of the application as part of unrelated feature work.
Consistency, maintainability, production stability, and compatibility with the existing application are important.
There will be opportunities to recommend improvements when a genuine technical limitation, security concern, performance problem, or maintainability issue is identified. Significant architectural changes, new frameworks, major dependencies, or departures from established patterns should be proposed and discussed before implementation.
The expectation is to improve and extend the application without unnecessarily reinventing it.
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience using C# and .NET.
- Strong experience with ASP.NET Core and modern .NET application development.
- Experience building and maintaining production web applications.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL.
- Experience working with tables, stored procedures, views, indexes, joins, and relational database design.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and third-party integrations.
- Experience working across both backend and frontend portions of an application.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented development and application architecture.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, application security, validation, and error handling.
- Experience with Git and modern source-control practices.
- Experience testing and debugging complex application workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to independently deliver meaningful software features from requirements through completion.
- Ability to work effectively within an established architecture and follow existing development patterns and standards.
Preferred Experience
- Professional experience with Blazor.
- Experience with SignalR or other real-time application technologies.
- Experience developing SaaS applications.
- Experience working with multi-tenant business applications.
- Experience working in large or mature production codebases.
- Experience mentoring, reviewing code, or providing technical guidance to less-experienced developers.
- Experience with business applications such as CRM, ERP, dealership management, financial, workflow, or similar systems.
Blazor experience is strongly preferred, but an accomplished .NET web developer with strong C# experience and the ability to become productive in Blazor quickly will also be considered.
What This Role Is Not
This is primarily an application development position.
You will not be expected to function as a network administrator, systems administrator, or infrastructure engineer. Server configuration, firewall administration, hardware management, and similar infrastructure responsibilities are not central to this position.
You will also not be expected to determine product direction independently.
Projects will generally include defined business objectives, functional requirements, success criteria, architectural boundaries, database context, and, when applicable, UI or workflow direction.
Your responsibility is to take that direction and engineer the complete solution.
What We’re Looking For
The strongest candidate will be someone who enjoys being given a meaningful project, understanding the requirements and existing application, and then owning the engineering work necessary to complete it.
You should be comfortable:
- Investigating an unfamiliar portion of an existing application.
- Understanding established patterns before writing new code.
- Developing a technical approach from defined requirements.
- Making appropriate implementation decisions independently.
- Communicating questions or risks early.
- Recognizing when a decision has broader architectural or business implications and should be discussed before proceeding.
- Testing your own work thoroughly.
- Taking responsibility for getting a feature fully completed rather than stopping when the primary coding work is finished.
We value developers who are both independent and disciplined: capable of owning projects without constant supervision while respecting the architecture, standards, and direction of an established production application.
This position offers significant responsibility in a real SaaS product and the opportunity to build complete features that are directly used by dealership employees every day.
