Full Job Description

The Directional Drill Locator plays a crucial role in the successful execution of underground drilling projects. This position involves accurately determining the location and depth of drilling operations to ensure that they meet project specifications and safety standards. The Locator will work closely with drilling crews and project managers to provide real-time data and adjustments as needed. By utilizing advanced technology and equipment, the Locator will help optimize drilling efficiency and minimize environmental impact. Ultimately, the success of the drilling operation relies heavily on the expertise and precision of the Directional Drill Locator.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience in directional drilling or a related field.
Familiarity with locating equipment and technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in directional drilling or related technical training.
Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental standards in drilling operations.

Responsibilities:

Utilize advanced locating equipment to determine the precise location of drill heads and monitor their progress.
Collaborate with drilling teams to ensure alignment with project plans and specifications.
Provide real-time feedback and adjustments to drilling operations based on location data.
Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, including depth, location, and any encountered obstacles.
Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of locating equipment to ensure optimal performance.

The required skills for this position include proficiency in using locating equipment, which is essential for accurately tracking drill heads during operations.
