Midwest Sales Lead — Outside Sales / Agricultural Irrigation

B.A. Fischer Sales Co. is looking for a Midwest Sales Lead to help grow our business throughout the Midwest market.

This is a sales-first role for someone who wants real responsibility, real customer relationships, and the chance to grow a territory the right way.

We are looking for someone who can get in front of agricultural irrigation dealers, earn trust, find opportunities, follow through, and help make B.A. Fischer the first call when customers need product, answers, or support.

This role is for a hunter — but not a high-pressure, transactional salesperson. We are looking for someone who can sell, serve, and show up.

About B.A. Fischer

B.A. Fischer is a family-owned agricultural irrigation wholesaler serving dealers through a customer-first model. With five warehouse locations across the U.S., we support agricultural irrigation dealers with the products, service, and follow-through they need to take care of their customers.

We believe the best business is built through long-term customer partnerships.

Our standard is Legendary Customer Service. That means we answer the phone, follow through, solve problems, get product where it needs to go, and do what we say we are going to do.

About the Role

The Midwest Sales Lead will be responsible for growing B.A. Fischer’s business throughout the Midwest territory.

This position is based out of our Hastings, Nebraska warehouse. The person in this role does not need to live in Hastings, but they do need to live close enough to work from the Hastings warehouse as a regular part of the job.

The Midwest Sales Lead is responsible for growing the territory and running the Hastings location. Sales growth is the primary focus, but this role also carries the local responsibility for making sure Hastings operates the way it needs to support our customers.

You will spend a lot of time in the field calling on dealers, building relationships, developing accounts, creating opportunities, supporting customers, and delivering product as part of normal territory coverage.

Delivery is not the focus of this position. Sales growth is. But delivery is one of the ways we stay close to our dealers, create more customer touchpoints, solve problems faster, and provide the service B.A. Fischer is known for.

Most travel will be day trips, but overnight travel may be required at times. There may be heavier travel early on as you get familiar with the customers, territory, and market.

What You’ll Do

Grow sales throughout the Midwest territory
Build relationships with agricultural irrigation dealers
Develop new accounts and expand existing customer partnerships
Create opportunities through consistent customer contact and follow-up
Travel regularly for dealer visits, sales calls, customer support, and product delivery
Run the Hastings location
Communicate customer needs, market feedback, and sales opportunities back to the team
Follow up on quotes, orders, backorders, and open opportunities
Help protect and grow B.A. Fischer’s reputation for Legendary Customer Service

Agricultural or irrigation experience is preferred, but not required. Sales experience is preferred, but not required. We can teach products, systems, and the market.

We cannot teach work ethic, follow-through, accountability, or character.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license
Clean driving record
Ability to pass a DOT physical
Ability to pass a background check
CDL is not required
Trailer towing experience is a plus
Ability to travel regularly throughout the Midwest territory
Ability to travel overnight when needed
Ability to lift, load, and handle agricultural irrigation products as needed
Ability to work from the Hastings warehouse as a regular part of the role
Ability to run the Hastings location
Strong communication and follow-up skills
Self-starter mindset

Commitment to putting in the hours needed to get the job done
