Full Job Description

The Fiscal Department is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Biller. Under the direction of the A/R Supervisor, they will be responsible for accurate and timely submission of assigned billings such as Medicaid, Medicare , Commercial/HMO & Private Pay billing and follow up.

Responsibilities:

Experience in all aspects of billing and collecting unpaid Medicaid, Medicare, Commercial/HMO & Private Pay accounts
Knowledge of electronic billing processes.
Interact with residents and families.
Participates in special projects as directed by the A/R Supervisor.
Performs related duties as assigned and unrelated duties as requested.
Pre-Admission insurance verifications

Qualifications

1-2 Years Experience working for a billing department at a Hospital, Nursing Home, ALP or Adult Medical Model Day Care is preferred.
Associates Degree or Equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of experience and education
The position requires knowledge of government payer sources, eligibility and researching denied claims as well as positive communication skills (both verbal and written).
Qualified applicant must have the ability to complete tasks with little to no supervision.
Ability to work in a team environment is a self-starter, quick learner, excellent communication and research skills, attention to detail and ability to handle a fast-paced and challenging work environment is a necessity.
Intermediate Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel computer application skills required
Matrixcare Billing software experience preferred
High level of determination and motivation; the ability to go above and beyond; and positive communication skills are a must.
