Private Optometry Practice – Kaneohe, Hawaii

Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Optometry Receptionist / Technician, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients’ vision and eye health. We are a friendly, patient-focused private optometry practice in Kaneohe looking for a dependable and personable team member to join our office. We are hiring for a flexible role that may include front desk reception, patient coordination, and clinical/technician duties depending on experience.

Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients’ vision and eye health. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while assisting with clinical tasks. Your energy and professionalism will help create a welcoming environment, ensuring smooth clinic operations and accurate medical documentation.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, working in healthcare, and being part of a supportive local team.

Responsibilities

Greet patients, verify patient information, and manage appointment scheduling efficiently using electronic medical records (EMR) system
Patient check-in and check-out
Answer phones and schedule appointments
Verify insurance benefits
Manage medical records accurately
Assist with pre-testing
Maintain exam rooms and office flow
Help patients with eyewear selection when needed
General administrative and office support
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times
Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment

Qualifications

Friendly, professional, and reliable
Strong communication and customer service skills
Detail-oriented and organized
Comfortable using computers and learning new systems
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Prior optometry, ophthalmology, medical office, or customer service experience preferred but not required
