Full Job Description

About the Role

As a Plastics Manufacturing Technician, you will serve as a key operator for our high-volume blow molding lines. You will take ownership of the production process, ensuring that our output consistently meets rigorous quality standards while maintaining optimal machine efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

Manage the full production cycle of Uniloy blow molding equipment, from cold startup to high-speed output.
Optimize machine parameters, including parison settings and weights, to ensure dimensional accuracy and product integrity.
Proactively troubleshoot mechanical issues, including cooling systems and leak detectors, to minimize downtime.
Conduct precise quality inspections for bottle depth, color, and appearance, documenting all findings to maintain production standards.
Execute routine preventive maintenance and equipment changeovers to support continuous manufacturing flow.
Operate sit-down forklifts and bagging machinery to assist with material handling and final product preparation.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace by adhering to 5S methodologies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Required Skills

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience operating blow molding machinery.
Proven ability to operate a sit-down forklift safely.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex production equipment.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical instructions and production schedules in English.

Preferred Skills

Direct experience with Uniloy molding systems.
Technical knowledge of electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
Bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish).
Previous experience with PET materials and automated bagging systems.
