Senior Engineering Lab Technician Job Description

Job Details: Monday through Friday This is an on-site role based in our White Plains, NY office.
Office hours: 8:00 am to 4: 45 p.m.
Salary Range: $65,000 to $85,000 per year; salary commensurate with experience
Duties/Responsibilities:

Construct test sets and cable assemblies from schematics and assembly drawings, utilizing both hole and SMT technology.

Maintain a clean, organized lab environment that provides a shared resource to lab technicians and engineers.

Conduct routine calibration of electronic instruments, ensuring accuracy and reliability.

Coordinate external calibration for equipment that cannot be calibrated in-house.

Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly.

Read, implement, and provide feedback on electrical and mechanical drawings.

Demonstrate proficiency with electrical lab tools to construct and assemble surface mount and through-hole technologies, aircraft harnesses, and test equipment.

Demonstrate proficiency with machine shop tools such as drill presses and mills.

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to lab technicians and engineers.

Ensure compliance with ISO or AS9100 standards within the lab.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all lab equipment and activities.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Associate degree in electronics, avionics, or a related field with a solid understanding of electronic circuit theory.

Proficient in reading and editing schematics and mechanical drawings.

Strong computer skills with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools.

Previous experience as an electronics technician in an ISO or AS9100 facility is preferred.
