$34–$38 / h | Performance bonus | Part-time | Studio City, CA

TumbleKick is a family-owned Taekwondo and gymnastics studio in Studio City, led by a world champion and coach with decades of experience in the fitness industry. We're an established studio with a loyal community of families — and we're hiring our first full-time Program Director to run day-to-day operations and teach alongside our founder and part-time instructors.

This is a rare role: half coaching, half running the business. You'll be the operational backbone of the studio and a face our students and parents know and trust.

What you'll do

1/2 Teaching: Lead Taekwondo classes for students ages 3–14, assist with tumbling/gymnastics programs, help run belt tests, and lead our school-break camps. You'll teach alongside and learn directly from our founder, a world-champion instructor.
1/2 Running the studio: Own our gym management software — scheduling, billing, memberships, enrollment. Manage parent communication: inquiries, trial classes, email, retention follow-up. Keep the class calendar and instructor coverage running smoothly, including staffing part-time instructors for camps and busy periods. Handle light marketing: website updates, Google listing, social media, review responses. Send the owners a simple monthly summary of enrollment and revenue.
In 2027, you'll help lead a major project: relocating the studio to a new facility. If you want real responsibility and room to shape a growing business, this role has it.

Schedule

School year: Monday–Thursday afternoons/evenings (classes run 3:30–7:00pm, with admin time before) plus Saturday mornings. Roughly 28-33 hours/week, with mornings, Fridays, and Sundays free during school year.
School breaks (summer/winter): weekday day camps, 9:00am–3:00pm, with part-time instructors covering evening classes. Similar total hours.

Who you are

Black belt in Taekwondo (required)
Experience teaching children (required)
Gymnastics, tumbling, or cheer coaching experience a strong plus
Great with kids and confident, warm, and professional with parents
Organized and comfortable with software — experience with MindBody, Zen Planner, Jackrabbit, or similar a plus.
Self-directed: you see what needs doing and do it
Able to build a strong working relationship with an experienced, hands-on founder who has run this studio for decades.
CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to certify.
Must pass a background check (we work with children)
