About Dyco Inc.

Dyco is a long-established, financially strong, privately held manufacturer of custom engineered equipment and a designer and installer of complex integrated systems for handling and conveying lightweight containers, primarily plastic. We serve both container producers and the companies that fill those containers with water, milk, juices, cleaning products, personal care products, chemicals, and more.

The Role

This is a hands-on sales and marketing leadership position for a senior who can both think strategically and execute daily. You will own the full commercial operation, from pipeline strategy and marketing execution to team performance and cross-departmental coordination.

You will be measured on results, not activity. We need someone who focuses on the details, holds the team accountable, and brings the discipline and energy our growth demands.

What You Will Own

Sales Leadership and Team Performance

· Manage and develop Dyco's national network of sales representatives, including territory assignment, performance accountability, onboarding, and ongoing training on Dyco's product lines and sales process

· Oversee Dyco's Application Engineering and Quotation team, ensuring proposals are technically accurate, competitively positioned, and delivered on time. Set and enforce response time standards that reflect the urgency of our customers' buying decisions. Work closely with Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure quoted scopes are buildable, margins are protected, and customer expectations are set correctly from the first proposal. Drive continuous improvement in quote quality, win rate analysis, and post-award handoff to the project execution team.

· Set clear goals, provide ongoing coaching and feedback, and hold the team accountable to outcomes.

· Maintain full visibility into team plans, priorities, and daily activities.

Pipeline and Opportunity Management

· Maintain full visibility into all significant opportunities across the pipeline, from prospect to post-award.

· Work with staff to prioritize resourcing across design, manufacturing, and installation phases.

· Balance customer needs against the most strategically attractive Dyco opportunities.

Sales Strategy and Execution

· Develop and execute strategies for winning projects in a complex, engineered solutions and capital equipment sales environment with long sales cycles.

· Drive demand generation, lead qualification, and sales enablement by coordinating the sales and marketing functions under a unified commercial strategy.

· Own the full B2B sales cycle from lead to close, ensuring Application Engineering and Quotation teams are aligned and responsive.

P&L Ownership and Financial Accountability

Own the commercial P&L including revenue forecasting, margin targets, and sales operating budget. Monitor performance against plan and report results directly to the CEO with clear analysis and corrective action when needed.

Pricing Authority and Strategy

Set and maintain Dyco's pricing framework across product lines and integrated systems. Approve exceptions, manage competitive pricing situations, and ensure margin integrity is protected across all customer segments and deal structures.

Revenue Strategy and Growth Planning

Develop and execute Dyco's annual and long-range commercial growth strategy in partnership with the CEO. Identify new markets, adjacencies, and revenue streams that align with Dyco's manufacturing capabilities and competitive strengths. Own the revenue number.

Brand Strategy

Own Dyco's brand positioning across target and customer segments, translating company capabilities and competitive strengths into clear, compelling market messaging that supports both sales execution and long-term brand equity.
Develop and maintain market-specific messaging for Dyco's primary customer segments.
Oversee company website strategy, content, and performance.
Develop and execute email marketing, digital advertising, and SEO initiatives.

Demand Generation and Lead Development

Identify and pursue strategic account targets in coordination with the sales team.
Drive inbound and outbound B2B lead generation programs.
Develop content and campaigns that drive inbound inquiries from qualified prospects.
Develop outbound prospecting sequences and cadences for the sales team to execute.
Define and enforce lead qualification criteria to improve handoff quality between marketing and sales.

Trade Shows and Events

Own trade show strategy: selection, preparation, execution, and post-show follow-up.
Maximize trade show ROI by aligning booth presence, pre-show outreach, and lead capture with sales priorities.
Develop a calendar of industry events, conferences, and association engagements that keep Dyco visible in target markets.

Market Intelligence

Track competitor activity, pricing trends, and market developments.
Identify new vertical markets and applications for Dyco's capabilities.
Turn customer and prospect feedback into concrete recommendations for product and sales teams.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

· Coordinate actively with Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, Service, and Installation.

· Participate in inter-departmental and strategic management meetings.

· Make decisions with the broad success of Dyco in mind, not just sales numbers.

What We Are Looking For

Must-Haves

Strong sales management discipline. You know where every deal stands at all times and can run a rigorous CRM based pipeline review.
Proven experience leading commercial operations in a capital equipment or engineered-solutions environment with B2B sales cycles.
Direct communicator who gives clear, timely feedback and doesn't shy away from difficult conversations.
Self-driven with strong time management. You don't need to be managed.
Comfortable operating at both the strategic and operational levels.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience in industrial equipment, material handling, packaging, robotics, or adjacent automation sectors.
Familiarity with Application Engineering or technical quotation processes.
Bachelor's degree (preferred, not required).

Leadership Profile

Detail-oriented manager who is always aware of team plans and progress.
Holds self and others to high standards without creating dysfunction.
Thrives in a privately held, operationally focused company where decisions move fast.
