Full Job Description

Queen City Ballet is hiring a dependable Office Assistant to support daily studio operations in a busy, community-focused arts environment. This is a year-round, part-time position.

Schedule

Sept–May: Mon–Thurs, approx. 2:00–7:00 PM
Summer: Morning hours (generally 8:30–1:30 PM)
25–35 hours per week

Applicants must have flexibility within these timeframes, as start and end times may vary based on studio needs, performances, and seasonal programming.

Pay

$12.00–$18.00 per hour, DOE
Part-time, non-exempt

Key Responsibilities

Welcome families and serve as front desk contact
Interact professionally with students, including children ages 3+
Answer phones and manage email
Manage studio communications, scheduling, and shared documents using Google Workspace (Gmail and Google Calendar)
Support basic bookkeeping (QuickBooks helpful)
Assist staff and maintain smooth operations in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
Professional communication skills
Comfortable with basic computer programs
Able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
Willing and able to work professionally with young children and families

Physical & Location Requirements

Ability to navigate stairs
Light lifting (up to 20 lbs.)
Downtown Helena location; public paid parking is the employee’s responsibility
