Position Overview
The Design & Selections Coordinator is responsible for managing the homeowner’s design and selections experience from contract execution through final selections. This role serves as the primary guide for customers during one of the most exciting phases of building their home, helping them make informed decisions while creating a seamless, organized, and enjoyable experience.
The Design & Selections Coordinator works closely with homeowners, project managers, vendors, and field teams to ensure all design selections are documented accurately, communicated effectively, and completed on schedule. This position is responsible for guiding customers through the design and product selection process—not purchasing or ordering materials. Once selections have been finalized and documented, they will be communicated to the appropriate team members responsible for procurement and project execution. This role combines creativity, organization, customer service, and construction coordination to deliver an exceptional customer experience while supporting efficient project execution.
This is a newly established position and department within Trade Mark Contractors. The Design & Selections Coordinator will have the opportunity to help build, define, and continuously improve the company’s design and selections program. This includes developing processes, creating structure, establishing customer facing tools, and helping shape how the role evolves as the company grows.
The purpose of this role is to create an outstanding customer experience, maintain design consistency, and ensure selections are completed in a manner that supports successful construction operations.

Key Responsibilities
1. Homeowner Design Experience
● Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the design and selections process.
● Create a welcoming, organized, and enjoyable customer experience.
● Guide homeowners through design decisions while balancing aesthetics, functionality, budget, and long-term value.
● Educate customers on available products, finishes, materials, and customization options.
● Build strong relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
2. Design & Product Selections
● Coordinate customer selections including:
○ Cabinetry
○ Flooring
○ Countertops
○ Tile
○ Paint Colors
○ Lighting
○ Plumbing Fixtures
○ Interior and Exterior Finishes
○ Hardware
● Maintain an understanding of current design trends while promoting timeless, practical solutions.
● Help customers visualize finished spaces through samples, displays, renderings, and available technology.
● Utilize Ai and design technology tools to improve presentations, organization, and customer communication.
3. Vendor Coordination & Product Knowledge
● Schedule and coordinate meetings with vendors and suppliers.
● Develop strong relationships with Trade Mark’s vendor partners.
● Stay informed on new products, materials, and industry trends.
● Research new product opportunities that improve quality, value, and customer satisfaction.
● Coordinate pricing, availability, and lead times with vendors.
4. Project Coordination & Documentation
● Develop and maintain a structured design and selections process.
● Ensure all selections are completed according to project schedules.
● Document customer selections accurately within company software and project files.
● Coordinate finalized selections with Project Managers, Estimators, Purchasing, and Field Operations.
● Help minimize delays and change orders through thorough planning and documentation.
5. Technology & Process Development
● Utilize technology and Ai tools to improve efficiency and the customer experience.
● Help develop systems, templates, and processes that standardize the selections program.
● Continuously evaluate opportunities to improve communication, scheduling, and workflow.
● Assist leadership in expanding and refining the Design & Selections program as the company grows.
6. Continuous Learning & Team Collaboration
● Develop a working knowledge of residential construction methods and structural building concepts.
● Collaborate closely with construction and operations teams to understand project requirements.
● Participate in internal planning meetings and project reviews.
● Continue developing professional knowledge of residential design, construction, and customer service best practices.
Qualifications
● 2+ years of experience in residential design, interior design, home building, remodeling, kitchen & bath design, or related fields preferred.
● Strong eye for design, color coordination, textures, and finishes.
● Excellent communication and customer service skills.
● Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
● Comfortable learning and utilizing technology, design software, Ai tools, and construction management software.
● Ability to manage multiple homeowner projects simultaneously.
● Self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
● Professional written and verbal communication.
● Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Pay: $52,311.51 - $70,000.00 per year
