Full Job Description

Wieson America is looking for a Field Application Engineer located in Northeast US (New England area), preferrable within the greater NYC area.

Job Description:

Become familiar with Wieson’s antenna, cable and connector products and develop application knowledge
Assist US-East Coast sales division with technical assistance and supports within strategic industries, including but not limited to Industrial, Medical, Consumer Electronics, Semiconductor, Robotics, AAM and…etc.
Coordinate projects (RFQs) internally across multiple departments in Asia time zones such as PM, Product Engineering, R&D, Project Management, Quality, Production and Customer Support team to ensure the highest customers’ satisfaction.
Review and screen product related technical documentations (specifications, standards, drawing, test report, certifications…etc.) between internal and external correspondences.
Handle activities related to product technical aspects during the qualification pipeline, including but not limited to:
RFQ: internal cost over specs detailed reviews and internal communications.
NPI: specification design changes, spec definitions, ensure internal team comply with customers’ EVT, DVT, PVT, Pilot run & ramp-up stages.
MP: finalizing product specifications and make sure smooth transition between NPI and MP stages internally on product technical aspects, complying customers’ SQE requirements.
RMA: product issues, troubleshooting and solutions…etc.
Travel (25% or less): Domestically to customer sites and internationally travel to company’s HQ Taiwan, factories in China and Vietnam, as needed.
Reporting to US-East sales division Director for work activities, project status, technical specification reviews, product issues and solutions.

Candidate requirement

Job experience: 8 years or more professional job experience as a Product Engineer (PE), Field Application Engineer (FAE)…etc related type of role, within the electronics manufacturing OEM/ODM business. Experiences of Server, Networking, Medical, Industrial, Aerospace, Defense and Automotives industries will be a plus.
Educational requirement: 4 yrs bachelor’s degree or above, or 2 yrs college diploma with 5 yrs professional job experience.
Education field: electrical engineering (EE), mechanical engineering (ME), radio frequency (RF) or equivalent.
Language ability: bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese (Speak/Read/Write MUST)
Other preferred capabilities: problem solving, goal achieving, flexible work hours to accommodate between N.A. and Asia time zones, self-motivated, self disciplined, able to work remotely, results-oriented, willing to learn, positive attitude and passionate.
Experience with 3D and 2D Drafting
Experience with antenna, cables & connector business is a Plus
