Russell Tobin's client, an e-commerce company, is hiring a Logistics Specialist II in Hermiston, OR

Job Title: Logistics Specialist II

Location: Hermiston, OR

Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential Extension)

Start Date: June 29, 2026

Pay: $19/hr.

Day Shift (First Shift): 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM

Night Shift (Second Shift): 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM

About the Opportunity

Join a leading global technology infrastructure organization and play a key role in supporting large-scale data center operations. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Logistics Specialist II to support inventory management, warehouse operations, and logistics functions within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and thrives in a team-oriented setting. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to mission-critical operations while gaining experience in advanced technology infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records.
Receive, inspect, store, and distribute parts and materials.
Support build, repair, and maintenance activities by issuing inventory to technicians and engineers.
Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
Transport materials and equipment between locations as needed.
Maintain precise records of inventory movement and transactions.
Ensure warehouse and work areas remain clean, organized, and safe.
Follow established logistics, inventory control, and safety procedures.
Assist with reverse logistics processes and material returns.

Required Qualifications

2–4 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English.
Ability to work overtime as required.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to safely lift up to 49 pounds independently and participate in team lifts for heavier items.
Comfortable with frequent pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, reaching, and walking throughout the workday.
Ability to safely climb and descend stairs when required.
Capable of performing physical tasks for extended periods.
Comfortable working in warehouse environments with varying noise levels.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using Inventory Management Systems (IMS).
Understanding of inventory control and warehouse best practices.
Experience with reverse logistics processes.
Vendor coordination or vendor relationship experience.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
Demonstrated leadership abilities and positive work ethic.
Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence.

Work Environment

Combination of office and warehouse settings.
Regular standing, walking, and movement throughout shifts.
Exposure to moving mechanical equipment and warehouse operations.
Noise levels may vary from moderate to loud.
Temperatures generally range from 60°F to 90°F and may occasionally exceed 90°F.
Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat and cold.
