Full Job Description

As a Loan Clerk at Grove City Area Federal Credit Union you are the face of the credit union. It’s more than just processing financial transactions or collecting payments; it’s building lasting relationships and helping others to improve their financial well-being. We are looking for positive, can-do individuals that thrive on being able to help people better themselves financially.

You will ensure that members are promptly and professionally served by processing loan applications, performing a broad variety of lending functions and offering solutions to help members reduce debt and achieve financial freedom.

Job Duties (include but not limited to):

· Process loan applications for review, communicate loan decisions, disburse approved loans and more per credit union practices and policies.

· Communicate and work with members who are delinquent on their obligations to the credit union.

· Engage members to determine what solutions would enhance the member’s financial well-being.

· Educate members about credit union products and services that would help them to meet their financial goals.

· Assist in the servicing of loans.

· Ensures that member’s requests and questions are promptly resolved whether in person, over the phone, or via other communication methods.

· Ensures that the Credit Union’s reputation is maintained and projected.

Qualifications:

· High School Graduate or equivalent required

· Customer service experience required

· Sales experience preferred

· Cash handling experience helpful

Grove City Area Federal Credit Union offers a competitive benefits package including company paid life and short-term disability insurance. There is a matching contribution to your 401(K) plan, after one year of service. These benefits are subject to change at any time at the discretion of management. These changes will be communicated via the employee handbook.

Starting hourly rate is $19.50 to $20.50 per hour.
