Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor (LPC, LCSW, CADC, CAADC) – Desoto, MS

New Season Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate, licensed Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team in Desoto, MS. What You'll Do

Provide individual, group, and family counseling for patients receiving substance use disorder treatment
Complete comprehensive assessments, psychosocial evaluations, treatment plans, and clinical documentation
Conduct admissions, discharges, transfers, and ongoing patient evaluations
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and behavioral health professionals to coordinate patient care
Facilitate therapeutic groups and educate patients on addiction, recovery, relapse prevention, and wellness
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining regulatory and clinical documentation standards

Qualifications

Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities, or a closely related behavioral health field required.
Must possess one of the following:
- An active professional license (such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LMSW, or other qualifying state license), or
- A Mississippi Department of Mental Health credential as a Mental Health Therapist (MHT), Psychiatric Certified Addictions Therapist (PCAT), Certified Addictions Therapist (CAT), Professional Mental Health Therapist (PMHT), Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Therapist, or
- A qualifying addiction credential, including CADC, CADC-I, CADC-II, CAADC, or CIC.
Experience in substance use disorder, addiction treatment, behavioral health, or mental health counseling preferred.
Excellent communication, clinical documentation, and patient engagement skills.
