Full Job Description

Full time histotechnologists are needed for a private medical laboratory in Lancaster in South-Central Pennsylvania. We are located an hour and a half from Philadelphia and Baltimore and three hours from New York. We provide a unique environment where everyone works well together to provide excellent patient care. Our histotechs work closely with the pathologists/owners of the lab to provide high quality slides. We are consistently praised by our outside clients for the quality of the work that we produce.

Our lab receives a wide variety of specimens but experience in embedding and cutting dermatopathology specimens is an advantage. H&E staining and cover-slipping are automated, special stains are manual, and immunohistochemistry is performed using Leica Bond III and PRIME automated stainers. Occasional frozen sections are performed at surgery centers. One position starts at 4-6 am Monday to Friday with a rare Saturday required. Another night time position is also being sought with a flexible start time.

The individual must be a reliable team player who can work well with others to ensure efficiency and quality. The candidate must be committed to maintaining the high quality that the lab is proud of.

Pathology assistants, laboratory assistants, billing specialists, transcriptionists, marketers, and couriers are employed members of our team who all work together to ensure accuracy, reliability, and a customer-oriented approach.
