Full Job Description

IMPORTANT: This is an in-house position performed entirely from our Mechanicsburg, PA office. If you do not live within a reasonable commute of Mechanicsburg, PA or are unable to work from our Mechanicsburg, PA office, please do not apply for the position.

The Pharmacy Customer Service Representative uses the Company's proprietary and other business software, internet, and telephonic customer service skills to recapture prescription fills that go outside the KeyScripts National Pharmacy Network. The Representative communicates with network pharmacies to ensure the KeyScripts Pharmacy Card/information is on file and being effectively used by injured workers. The Representative speaks with card bearers to make them aware of the importance of taking their KeyScripts card with them to the pharmacy when filling any prescription related to their work or auto injury. Thorough training in the KeyScripts pharmacy program will be provided to the chosen applicant, as this knowledge is required to effectively assist injured individuals, communicate with pharmacies, and achieve the Company's pharmacy network integrity goals.

Reporting to the Pharmacy Call Center Supervisor, the KeyScripts Pharmacy Call Center Customer Service Representative uses the Company's proprietary and other business software, internet, and customer service skills to interact telephonically with injured workers and their representatives and families, insurance carriers (claims handlers/adjusters), employers, physicians, and pharmacists/pharmacy technicians.

Specific duties may include:

Answer incoming calls from injured workers, claims handlers, pharmacies, physicians, and other stakeholders relative to prescription medications
Guide and assist callers relative to pharmacy services, medication and service issues, use of the KeyScripts Prescription Benefit Card, prescription plan elements, and formulary questions
Employ professional questioning techniques and active listening to gather information and identify/clarify issues while documenting information using various business applications and online resources
Communicate action steps/solutions to injured workers, pharmacies, physicians, etc., relative to pharmacy
Follow-up (as necessary) with callers regarding prescriptions
Transfer medication/drug-related calls as necessary to supervisor and/or clinical pharmacists for resolution
Coordinate internal resolution of exceptions and other issues
Meet quality and performance goals as they relate to call productivity, efficiency and quality, customer satisfaction, first-call resolution and job attendance

Requisite Skills:

Demonstrated customer service skills (although specific training is provided relative to the Company's customer service expectations)
Ability to utilize Company systems to perform essential job functions
Ability to work both independently and as part of the customer service team to achieve time-sensitive goals in a fast-paced office environment.
Demonstrated competency with applications including Microsoft Office and/or other software (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word) and standard office/business equipment (telephones, fax machines, copiers/scanners, etc.)
Professional written and oral communication skills
Sound problem-solving, critical-thinking and decision-making skills

The ideal candidate will have a background or experience in pharmacy, workers’ compensation, healthcare, or related field, but such experience is not required.
