Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Shift Supervisor and Assistant Manager to lead our restaurant team to success! In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain a vibrant, efficient environment. Your leadership will drive team performance, uphold food safety standards, and foster a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Responsibilities

Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow during all shifts
Lead and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and development initiatives
Oversee food preparation and presentation to meet quality standards and safety regulations
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste
Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
Ensure compliance with food safety protocols and health regulations across all departments
Assist with shift management, scheduling staff to optimize coverage during busy hours
Support customer service excellence by resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally
Conduct staff interviews, onboarding, and ongoing performance evaluations to build a high-performing team
Collaborate with kitchen management on food production, catering events, and special banquet functions
Monitor budget adherence, control costs, and implement strategies to maximize profitability
Maintain cleanliness standards in the dining area, kitchen, bar, and back-of-house spaces

Skills

Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within quick service or fast food environments
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling safety practices
Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate cash handling and sales tracking
Exceptional leadership skills with experience supervising teams in hospitality or food service settings
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns diplomatically
Familiarity with inventory control, food safety standards, and kitchen management procedures
Ability to train staff effectively in food production, service standards, and operational procedures
Experience managing budgets, controlling costs, and implementing operational improvements
Knowledge of casual dining or fine dining restaurant operations is highly desirable
Strong communication skills with the ability to interview candidates and develop team members’ skills
