$10,000 Incentive Bonus for New CST Employees

Job Summary

Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Frye Regional Medical Center, located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina is a 355-bed acute care hospital, 81-bed Behavioral Health facility and more than 70 primary and specialty care providers.

Schedule

Shift hours are flexible and can be discussed during the interview process

Essential Functions

Coordinate add‑on/urgent/emergent cases with charge RN, anesthesia, and surgeons; verify staff, room, equipment, and instrument availability.
Document delays and reasons; escalate barriers (e.g., missing instruments, equipment down, patient not ready, transport delays
Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies. Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.
Performs the role of the scrub technician.
Uses principles of aseptic technique to establish and maintain a sterile field
Facilitates efficient completion of the surgery schedule.
Maintains organized work area and participates in daily unit duties.
Competent in at least 3 specialty areas.

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent required

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Licenses:

Certification for Surgical Technology with the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
Competent in at least 3 specialty areas.
