American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring CPI or Handle With Care certification and a NC or compact RN license.

Work in an 81-bed adult Behavioral Health Hospital campus
-
Assigned to one of five inpatient units with bed counts of 23, 20, 15, 13, and 10
-
Adult patient population with common diagnoses including schizophrenia, dementia, bipolar disorder, psychosis, dual diagnosis, medical detox, depression, and anxiety disorders

Patient ratios vary by unit: 23 patients (2 RN/4 CNA), 20 patients (2 RN/2 CNA), 15 patients (1 RN/2 CNA), 13 patients (1 RN/2 CNA), and 10 patients (1 RN/2 CNA)

Uses Cerner EHR
-
12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM

Every other weekend required

No call requirements

Active RN license (NC or Compact) required

BLS certification required

CPI or Handle With Care certification required for consideration (training may be provided if not already certified)

Minimum 2 years of experience required

Any color scrub permitted

Provide direct nursing care across behavioral health units treating a range of psychiatric and dual-diagnosis conditions

Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
