Warehouse & Logistics Manager
Location: High Point, NC
About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead the daily operations of our warehouse and shipping department in a growing commercial baking facility.
The successful candidate will spend most of their day on the warehouse floor leading by example, organizing inventory, receiving ingredients, coordinating shipments, and ensuring every order leaves our facility accurately and on time.
We're looking for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys creating order from chaos, and takes pride in building efficient systems. This person will supervise a warehouse team while working alongside them every day.
While this is not a desk job, the candidate will need to be familiar with warehouse software, shipping systems, inventory tools, and Microsoft Office.
If you're the type of leader who believes there is a right way to do things, values accountability, and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves, we'd like to talk with you.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Leadership
- Lead and supervise all daily warehouse operations.
- Plan daily priorities and assign work to warehouse staff.
- Coach, train, and develop team members.
- Lead by example through a hands-on management style.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Shipping & Logistics
- Oversee all outbound shipments using UPS, FedEx, and USPS.
- Ensure customer orders are shipped accurately and on schedule.
- Coordinate shipping priorities with Production and Customer Service.
- Monitor shipping performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Receiving & Inventory
- Receive incoming ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies.
- Verify deliveries for accuracy and quality.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
- Ensure FIFO inventory practices and proper lot tracking are consistently followed.
Warehouse Organization
- Maintain an exceptionally clean, organized, and efficient warehouse.
- Develop and maintain warehouse procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Optimize storage locations and warehouse layout.
- Ensure warehouse equipment is properly maintained.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Maintain compliance with GMPs, food safety requirements, company policies, and FDA regulations.
- Ensure warehouse sanitation standards are consistently met.
- Promote safe work practices and OSHA compliance.
- Assist during customer and food safety audits.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies and implement better processes.
- Improve warehouse productivity and organization.
- Establish measurable performance standards for the warehouse team.
- Track key operational metrics and recommend improvements.
Qualifications
Required
- 3–7 years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience.
- Previous experience supervising or leading employees.
- Strong inventory management experience.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Comfortable using inventory systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment throughout the day.
- Ability to lead warehouse operations during peak seasonal / holiday demand in which order volume and labor significantly increase.
Preferred
- Experience in food manufacturing, baking, or consumer packaged goods.
- Experience with UPS, FedEx, and USPS.
- Experience implementing warehouse processes and SOPs.
- Military logistics, supply chain, transportation, or operations leadership experience.
- Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
What Success Looks Like
The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is someone who:
- Runs a warehouse where everything has a place.

- Ships every order accurately and on time.
- Keeps the warehouse clean, organized, and audit-ready.
- Builds a team that takes pride in doing things the right way.
- Solves problems before they become emergencies.
- Continuously improves processes rather than accepting "the way we've always done it."
