Full Job Description

Data Entry Clerk

Location: Wassaic, NY
Contract: 6 Months
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $17.00-$22.00 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to provide administrative and operational support to the Business Office in Wassaic, NY. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, and comfortable working with data, reports, office records, and Microsoft Office applications. This position will assist with maintaining department documentation, tracking equipment, managing correspondence, and providing general office support.

Key Responsibilities

Update and maintain department-specific forms and documentation.
Perform SFS information updates and password resets as needed.
Prepare, maintain, and distribute various quarterly reports.
Report and track equipment distribution, inventory, and maintenance activities.
Record meeting minutes and maintain accurate meeting notes.
Provide main-line telephone coverage and direct calls appropriately.
Monitor the Business Office mailbox and distribute incoming correspondence and materials to the appropriate personnel.
Oversee file storage, organization, retention, and disposition in accordance with department procedures.
Operate the postage machine on a daily basis and process outgoing mail.
Enter, update, and maintain information accurately in department systems and spreadsheets.
Assist with general administrative and clerical tasks as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of office records and information.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous data entry, administrative, clerical, or office support experience preferred.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.
Comfortable handling telephone calls, mail, files, and office correspondence.
Ability to work independently while also supporting a team environment.
Reliable attendance and professional demeanor.
