Help people with disabilities succeed at work – and build a meaningful career doing it!

Dirkse Counseling & Consulting is hiring Vocational Job Coaches to support individuals with intellectual, developmental, and mental health disabilities at their workplaces. This is an entry-level, part-time role with flexible hours, perfect for people who are compassionate, patient, and enjoy helping others learn and grow.

You’ll work one-on-one with clients on their job sites, helping them learn tasks, build confidence, and develop workplace skills. This is in-person, community-based work requiring travel throughout the Portland Metro area.

Position Status

Part-time with potential for Full-time

This is a permanent position. Depending on organizational needs, available funding, and the employee's performance, there may be an opportunity for the position to become full-time.

What you’ll do:

Coach and support individuals with disabilities while they perform their job duties
Teach workplace skills, like communication and problem-solving
Create simple job aids to help clients work independently
Support positive relationships between clients, coworkers, and supervisors
Collaborate with case managers and employers to help clients overcome challenges
Build trusting, professional relationships in the community

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
