Overview

Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where your compassionate care and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients across various settings. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to nursing staff and deliver exceptional patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity for individuals of all ages and health conditions. Whether working in long-term care facilities, hospitals, or community-based environments, your energy and expertise will help foster a healing and supportive atmosphere for every patient.

Duties

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and well-being
Take and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates with accuracy and professionalism
Support medical procedures by preparing patients, maintaining aseptic techniques, and assisting with equipment like Hoyer lifts or catheter care
Document patient information meticulously using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while maintaining strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Collaborate effectively with nursing staff to monitor patient conditions, report changes promptly, and ensure timely delivery of medications and treatments
Provide compassionate emotional support to patients and their families, especially those experiencing dementia or memory care needs such as Alzheimer’s disease
Follow infection control protocols diligently during all patient interactions to prevent the spread of infectious diseases in accordance with hospital standards

Qualifications

Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program with current licensure where applicable
Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as long-term care facilities, hospitals, hospice care, or assisted living communities
Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration support, and basic life support (BLS) certification
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation
Ability to perform manual handling safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer methods
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with patients of varying needs including pediatrics, geriatrics, behavioral health patients or individuals with disabilities
Demonstrated understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
