Summary
The Bindery Operator will perform the full range of standard and specialized stitching, folding and cutting of printed materials to complete a combined finishing product. Maintain safety, quality, maintenance and good manufacturing practices.
Essential Functions
- Perform set up and run full range of standard and specialized stitching, folding, and cutting of printed materials
- Perform maintenance of equipment and general housekeeping duties
- Read and interpret written work orders or other job specifications containing bindery requirements
- Set up and adjust machines for finishing operations and make necessary adjustments as needed
- Completes other projects and duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience
Stitching, Folding and/or Cutting experience required. 3-5 yrs preferred
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Physical Demands
- Able to move/lift 40-50 lbs and stand for 85% of shift.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday; 6a-2:30p ; if you need a different start/end time, we're open to discussing.
