Full Job Description

Seeking energetic paralegal who takes initiative and can supervise a foreclosure and bankruptcy department. Will handle primarily foreclosure and bankruptcy work in a growing law practice located in Poughkeepsie, New York. Professionalism, leadership, good writing and ability to multi-task are a must. Required to be extremely organized and detail-oriented.

Qualifications/ Required and/or Preferred Skills:

Good interaction with staff members, clients, attorneys, clerks, and court.
Meticulous calendaring of court and project deadlines;
Ability to supervise staff and ensure that billing quotas are being met;
Drafting legal documents including pleadings, discovery demands, orders and motions.
Filing documents in court and electronically.
Preparing files for court appearances, depositions and trials.
Drafting correspondence and emails.
Training department staff;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite (Mail, Drive, Docs and Calendar) required.
Ability to learn and effectively apply new software as required.

A minimum of 5 years experience in foreclosure and bankruptcy required.

Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits including health and 401k provided.
