Full Job Description

Seidel Law, formerly located at 5847 San Felipe, has relocated at 4841 Woodpecker St....and downsized its practice. Mr. Seidel is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Assistant. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in various administrative tasks, including filing, phone handling, office organization, and billing.

Key Responsibilities:

Filing and Document Management: Organize and maintain physical and digital filing systems, ensuring all documents are accurately labeled and easily accessible.
Phone Handling: Professionally manage incoming calls, take messages, and redirect calls as necessary to appropriate team members.
Office Organization: Maintain the overall cleanliness and organization of the office space, including conference rooms and common areas.
Billing Assistance: Assist with the preparation of invoices, track billable hours, and ensure timely and accurate billing to clients.
Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to lawyers and staff, including photocopying, scanning, etc.
Calendar Management: Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and court hearings, ensuring all parties are informed of upcoming events.
Client Interaction: Interface with clients in a professional and courteous manner, both in person and over the phone, to provide basic information and assistance as needed.
Compliance and Record Keeping: Maintain confidentiality of client information and ensure compliance with firm policies and legal regulations.

Qualifications:

Strong organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is an asset.
Should be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and have a strong work ethic.
Experience with Bill4Time is a plus.
Social media/marketing strategy skills is a bonus.

Schedule:

Part-time
Preferably Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday & select 1/2 day Fridays
Alternative schedules may be considered
Potential for full time and advancement

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Ability to Relocate:

Houston, TX: Relocate before starting work (Required)
