Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Land Surveyor to join our team. In this role, you will lead and execute land surveying projects with precision and expertise, ensuring accurate data collection, mapping, and analysis for a variety of civil engineering, construction, and land development initiatives. Your expertise will help shape the foundation of infrastructure projects, property boundaries, and topographical surveys.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive land surveys using GPS, total stations and other advanced surveying equipment to gather precise spatial data.
Prepare detailed survey drawings and schematics utilizing Civil 3D and Carlson software platforms.
Manage data collection efforts for ALTA surveys , boundary surveys, construction staking, and topographical mapping.
Collaborate with civil engineers and architects to develop accurate schematics and construction plans while ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Conduct field inspections for construction progress monitoring, data validation, and quality assurance purposes.
Prepare detailed reports documenting survey results, including coordinate systems used and technical specifications.
Ensure all survey activities adhere to safety standards, legal requirements, and industry best practices.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Professional Land Surveyor with a strong background in land surveying techniques and project management.
Proficiency with Civil 3D and Carlson; experience with CAD drafting tools is essential.
Strong knowledge of trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and math fundamentals applied in land measurement calculations.
Hands-on experience operating GPS units , total stations and other surveying equipment.
Ability to interpret schematics, construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately.
Knowledge of civil engineering principles related to land development projects.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients effectively.
Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical skills for data collection and problem-solving in the field.
Certification or licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor is required; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
