Hospitality Asset Management Company (HAMCO) has over 75 years of experience in the hospitality industry, specializing in the development, acquisition, and management of first-class hotels. Our diverse portfolio includes renowned properties such as Hilton Garden Inn and Days Inn, catering to a wide range of guest needs.

Summary

This role focuses entirely on core transactional accounting, cash controls, and general ledger integrity across our portfolio of managed properties. Rather than focusing on budgeting or forecasting, you will serve as the financial anchor handling daily sales verifications, multi-entity bank reconciliations, and the routine mapping of operational payroll into our accounting system. This is an ideal position for a detail-driven accountant who thrives on clean books, structured daily/monthly workflows, and has a strong foundational knowledge of GAAP compliance and M3 accounting software

Responsibilities

1. High-Volume Daily Sales Verification
Review, audit, and verify daily revenue reports and cash drop logs submitted by property-level teams.
Reconcile property management system (PMS) revenue feeds against actual credit card merchant deposits and cash receipts.
Investigate and resolve daily posting variances, chargebacks, or guest ledger discrepancies alongside property General Managers.

2. Treasury & Multi-Entity Bank Reconciliations

Execute daily and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple operating, payroll, and credit card accounts across the property portfolio.
Track cash flows, monitor outstanding checks, and ensure all banking variances are researched and cleared promptly.
Maintain precise documentation for all cash controls to ensure strict GAAP compliance and clean month-end audit trails.

3. Centralized Payroll Uploads & Coding

Download standard labor reports from the payroll processing platform following each pay cycle.
Format, code, and upload payroll data files directly into M3 Accounting Core.
Ensure payroll expenses are accurately distributed across specific property departments (e.g., Rooms, F&B, Maintenance) in strict compliance with GAAP and USALI guidelines.

4. Month-End Close Support

Prepare and post standard monthly journal entries related to cash, sales, and labor accruals within the M3 software environment.
Maintain and balance subsidiary ledgers to ensure the general ledger is fully reconciled for the month-end close.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field. [1]
Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on accounting experience, with a heavy emphasis on bank reconciliations and high-volume transactional data entry. Prior experience in a hospitality corporate office environment is a strong plus.
Technical & Software Skills: Direct, hands-on experience utilizing M3 (Accounting Core) is highly preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., downloading data, formatting sheets, and utilizing basic formulas/pivot tables) is required to manage manual file import/export processes between platforms.
Accounting Standards: Working knowledge of GAAP compliance standards regarding accruals, cash controls, and the matching principle.
Core Strengths: Exceptional mathematical accuracy, high attention to detail, and a structured approach to repetitive daily and weekly accounting cycles.
