<Overview>
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Caregiver/Med Tech, where your compassion and technical expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and individuals with special needs. This dynamic role combines hands-on patient care with medication management, ensuring residents receive safe, respectful, and personalized support. Whether working in assisted living communities, nursing homes, or home care settings, you’ll be at the forefront of providing high-quality care that promotes independence and dignity. <Responsibities>

Actively supports our culture – our pillars and 1440.
Completion of daily/weekly tasks as assigned by the Wellness Director, as well as assisting others routinely with their assignments if needed.
Will provide compassionate and competent care for residents by performing the following services:
Bathing, showering and grooming assistance
Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols, including oral medications, injections and topical agents.
Monitor vital signs—such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature—and document findings meticulously using Electronic Medical Administration Record (EMAR).
Assist residents with dining
Support residents with specialized needs including Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities.
Provides wheelchair and walking escorts and mobility to promote comfort and independence
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information and always ensuring confidentiality.
Document medical procedures and patient responses clearly and accurately in medical records and reports.
Collaborate with wellness staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Follow infection control protocols and assist with medical procedures such as vital signs collection.
Provide compassionate emotional support to residents and their families while respecting individual preferences and needs.
Provides toileting and incontinence care assistance
Assistance with morning and bedtime routines
Performs light upkeep of resident rooms/laundry
Answers resident call lights
Participate in life enrichment activities.
Completes and documents appropriate records, including pertinent information.
Works scheduled shift but also provides flexibility and is open to helping other shifts if needed.
Maintains knowledge of all safety and emergency procedures.
Is knowledgeable of and abides by all company policies and procedures.
Communicates any concerns regarding resident care, treatment, or changes in behavior to the appropriate person.
Attends community staff meetings, in-service programs, safety courses, and other required meetings.
Stays up to date and knowledgeable of all departmental communication.

<Skills>

Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals or home care environments.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic nursing practices.
Familiarity with EMAR/EHR systems such as Point Click Care for documentation and patient record management.
Ability to perform medication administration accurately and safely following prescribed guidelines.
Experience in dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care or hospice environments is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and connect empathetically with residents.
Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and confidentiality of patient information.
Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and recognize signs of distress or deterioration in health status.
