Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Tax Preparer to join our dynamic team.

Must have at least 5 years of experience preparing 1040, 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041 and 990 tax returns.
This is not a remote position; you must be able to meet clients in our Palm Harbor Office.
Previous CPA firm experience required.
Must be able to work independently with little supervision.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in tax law, compliance, and various accounting software will ensure clients receive accurate filings while maximizing their benefits. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your tax experience in a fast-paced environment that values professionalism, client service, and technical proficiency.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations using tax preparation software and accounting tools such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial software.
Ensure all tax documents are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
Analyze financial data to identify deductions, credits, and strategies that optimize client outcomes.
Maintain clear communication with clients to gather necessary information, explain tax positions, and answer questions regarding their filings.
Stay updated on changes in tax law and regulations to provide expert guidance on compliance requirements.
Assist clients with tax planning strategies to improve financial health and future planning.
Support client acquisition efforts through marketing initiatives and exceptional customer service to foster long-term relationships.

Qualifications

Proven experience in public accounting or a similar role with a strong background in tax preparation and compliance.
Extensive knowledge of tax law, partnership tax expertise, corporate accounting, and individual tax reporting.
Proficiency with tax preparation software, accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage, and financial reporting tools.
Strong analysis skills combined with excellent math abilities to interpret complex financial data accurately.
Exceptional client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
Familiarity with bookkeeping practices, technical accounting standards, and financial concepts essential for comprehensive tax reporting.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in all aspects of work.
