Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to detailed technical drawings and specifications. Your expertise will ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced fabrication environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing advanced welding techniques and mechanical fabrication skills to bring designs to life.

Responsibilities

Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to accurately fabricate and assemble metal components.
Perform various welding processes including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes.
Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, power tools, and shop math to ensure precise dimensions and fit of fabricated parts.
Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other metal materials using plasma cutters, soldering tools, and machining equipment.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols while operating hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and machinery on construction sites or fabrication shops.
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high quality standards in metal fabrication and assembly tasks.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment by following safety procedures and proper handling of materials.

Skills

Extensive construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety protocols.
Proficiency in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, mechanical blueprints, and technical specifications accurately.
Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and shop math for precise fabrication.
Mechanical knowledge related to metal fabrication processes like plasma cutting, machining, soldering, ductwork installation, and assembly.
Familiarity with ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels or piping systems is a plus.
Experience working with sheet metal fabrication including bending, cutting, forming, and assembly.
Strong understanding of safety procedures related to welding operations and construction environments.
Ability to operate hand tools such as hammers, chisels, grinders along with power tools like drills and saws efficiently.
Knowledge of mechanical fabrication principles including interpreting technical drawings for complex assemblies.
