Full Job Description

Massachusetts Eye Research and Surgery Institution (MERSI) is seeking a full-time Ophthalmic Technician to provide leadership support for a team of 5 techs at our Reading office location. Previous leadership experience is strongly preferred. This position will report directly to our Clinical Manager.

COA or COT also preferred but not absolutely necessary. Must have excellent customer service skills. Duties include scheduling staff, overseeing clinic workflow, troubleshooting testing equipment/software, performance management/reviews, patient work up, diagnostic testing (OCT, visual fields, and more), assisting with minor procedures, and other related responsibilities. Must be able to function efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with EPIC EHR is a big plus.
