About the Role & Growth Opportunities
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and hard-working Kennel Assistant to join our small, dedicated team.
This position is ideal for someone who isn't just a dog lover, but who is genuinely eager to learn the ins and outs of high-level dog care and handling. Working as a kennel assistant with us is a fantastic way to get your foot in the door of the professional dog world. For the right individual, there is ample opportunity to learn about dog training, enrichment, and sports such as Agility, IGP, and Competition Obedience. This role offers incredible hands-on exposure and huge potential for future skill development and training advancement down the road.
Expectations & Environment
While the learning potential is huge, this is a physical, labor-intensive job where cleanliness, sanitation, and attention to detail are top priorities. If you do not like cleaning—including picking up poop, cleaning up urine, and handling vomit—this position is not for you. We need someone who takes pride in maintaining a pristine facility, cares deeply about animal welfare, can follow explicit instructions, and—once trained—can perform their duties independently without needing to be micromanaged.
