Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Pool Technician and become a vital part of maintaining pristine, safe, and inviting aquatic environments. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for ensuring pools and related equipment operate smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional service to clients while keeping outdoor aquatic facilities in top condition. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills and outdoor work experience in a fast-paced, rewarding setting.

Duties

Perform routine pool maintenance including cleaning, skimming, vacuuming, and brushing pool surfaces to maintain cleanliness and water clarity.
Balance pool chemistry by testing water levels and adjusting chemical agents such as chlorine, pH adjusters, algaecides, and other water treatment chemicals to ensure safe and healthy swimming conditions.
Troubleshoot and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, chlorinators, and automatic cleaners using hand tools and power tools.
Conduct inspections of pool plumbing systems to identify leaks or malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
Operate company vehicles safely to transport equipment and supplies to various outdoor aquatic facilities while adhering to all safety protocols.
Maintain detailed service records including chemical treatments, repairs performed, inspections completed, and maintenance schedules.
Assist with water treatment chemical handling by safely mixing, storing, and applying chemicals according to safety guidelines.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in pool equipment troubleshooting and repair.
Proficiency in handling water treatment chemicals safely and effectively.
Knowledge of pool plumbing systems for diagnosing issues and performing repairs.
Experience with pool maintenance tasks such as cleaning, chemical balancing, equipment repair, and routine inspections.
Familiarity with aquatic facility operations or outdoor work environments is highly desirable.
Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding pool conditions or maintenance needs.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and company vehicles responsibly while following safety procedures.
Prior service technician experience or hands-on experience with water treatment chemical handling is preferred.
