Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tailor/Seamstress to join our team.

As a Tailor/Seamstress, you will be responsible for altering, repairing and constructing garments to meet the needs of our customers. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a passion for fashion.

Duties

- Construct garments from scratch using patterns and fabrics
- Alter and repair existing garments to fit our customers' preferences
- Use sewing machines and other equipment to ensure high-quality finishes
- Provide exceptional customer service, listening to customers' needs and making recommendations accordingly
- Utilize basic math skills to measure and cut fabric accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and quality standards
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store environment

Experience

- Proven experience in garment construction and alteration
- Familiarity with sewing machines and garment construction techniques
- Strong understanding of fabrics, patterns, and garment construction
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Basic math skills to measure and cut fabric accurately
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

- Proficiency in sewing and garment construction
- Experience in fashion retail or a similar industry
- Knowledge of garment construction and alteration techniques
- Excellent customer service skills
