Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Team Lead to oversee and enhance our quality assurance and control processes within our manufacturing environment. This pivotal role involves leading a team dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of product quality, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in quality management systems, manufacturing processes, and regulatory standards, contributing to the organization’s commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and supervise the quality assurance team to ensure adherence to quality standards in production processes
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, CGMP, and other relevant standards
Conduct regular quality audits across manufacturing operations to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as FDA regulations
Oversee quality inspections and testing procedures to verify product specifications meet established criteria
Facilitate cross-functional communication between production, engineering, and regulatory teams to address quality issues promptly
Implement Lean management and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize manufacturing efficiency and reduce variability
Manage documentation related to quality systems, non-conformance reports, corrective actions, and audit findings
Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring readiness for certification processes and regulatory inspections
Analyze data trends from quality metrics to identify root causes of defects and develop targeted corrective actions
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by training staff on quality standards, GAMP guidelines, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and best practices

Qualifications

Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on quality assurance or control
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP principles, CGMP regulations, and FDA compliance requirements
Demonstrated expertise in conducting quality audits and implementing quality systems within a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with Six Sigma manufacturing techniques, Lean management principles, and project management tools
Proficiency in using analysis skills for root cause analysis and process optimization
Experience with GAMP (Good Automated Manufacturing Practice) guidelines is advantageous
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and facilitate cross-functional collaboration
Strong communication skills for effective reporting, training, and stakeholder engagement
Technical proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), QA/QC procedures, and regulatory/legal compliance standards
