Business Engagement Coordinator - Eastern Massachusetts

Better Business Bureau (BBB), Eastern New England is a values-driven nonprofit committed to advancing trust in the local business community.

We’re looking for a Business Engagement Coordinator to connect with business executives, entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, and small businesses in Eastern Massachusetts. This role is perfect for someone who is self-motivated, relationship-focused, and excited to help local businesses thrive through outreach, education, and event engagement.

This is a 32-hour workweek position with a flexible schedule to accommodate occasional evening and weekend events.

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain meaningful relationships with local entrepreneurs and small business owners
Develop and implement engagement strategies to support BBB’s outreach and membership growth
Represent BBB at business events, networking meetups, and educational workshops
Promote BBB programs, benefits, and community trust initiatives
Help plan and host BBB-sponsored events and business functions
Drive a BBB-branded vehicle to meetings and events (must have a safe, secure parking location)

Who You Are:

Experienced in community engagement, outreach, or business development (2+ years preferred)
Excellent communicator and natural relationship-builder
Organized, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented
Passionate about supporting small businesses and promoting ethical business practices
Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc.)
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
