Job Overview: Cook/Kitchen Prep/Dishwasher

Directly responsible for all kitchen functions including food preparation and

maintenance of quality standards; sanitation and cleanliness.

· Be efficient: Take ownership and play your part to get things done by making things easier for guests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparing Food:

· Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.

· Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

· Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, Temp logs, waste logs and prep sheets.

· Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs.

· Ensure that all products are ordered according to predetermined product specifications and received in the correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the restaurant’s receiving policies and procedures.

· Control food cost and usage by following proper requisition of products from storage areas, product storage procedures, standard recipes and waste control procedures.

· Responsible for maintaining appropriate cleaning schedules for kitchen floors, mats, walls, hoods, other equipment and food storage areas.

· Check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points.

Teamwork:

· Responsible to know, understand, and fulfill the InnTrusted Mission Statement.

· Create guest satisfaction by providing fast, friendly and genuine hospitality.

· Give personal attention, take personal responsibility, and use teamwork when providing guest service.

· Respond to all emergency situations in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

· Walking and standing required throughout the entire shift.

· Reaching, bending, carrying, stooping throughout the entire shift.

· Lifting up to 50 pounds.

· Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and how to safely use them.

· Report safety hazards, accidents, and injuries immediately.
