Join our dynamic team as a Class B Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics and transportation operations! In this energetic role, you will operate commercial trucks with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise in various types of vehicles and cargo handling will ensure timely deliveries across diverse routes. We are looking for motivated drivers who thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to adhering to all safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills while contributing to a well-organized supply chain.

Duties

Safely operate Class B Truck We have box trucks with liftgates
Load and unload freight efficiently using manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
Navigate routes confidently using GPS navigation systems to ensure on-time deliveries while optimizing travel paths.
Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations during all operations.
Handle logistics cargo with precision, including securing loads on flatbeds or tankers and managing dangerous goods according to safety standards.
Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure trucks meet safety standards; report any maintenance issues promptly.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or unforeseen delays.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial truck driving, especially with Class B vehicles and route driving scenarios.
Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and understanding of truck mechanics.
Knowledge of refrigeration units for refrigerated trailer operations and handling of hazardous materials or dangerous goods is preferred.
Strong skills in manual handling, load & unload procedures, and logistics cargo handling techniques.
Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time adjustments.
Ability to adhere strictly to FMCSA, DOT, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols during all phases of operation.
Experience with forklift operation is a plus for loading/unloading cargo at facilities.
Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance; previous delivery driver experience is highly valued.
