Full Job Description

Position Summary: The Receptionist (Front Desk staff, Night Auditor) is responsible for the greeting members and guests at Shoreby Club. Operates the switchboard/multi‐line phone, relays messages, transfers callers, schedules appointments as directed by management.

Status: Full time and part time available, Non‐Exempt

Job Duties:
1. Answers phone, transfers calls to proper extensions, takes messages for members and staff.
2. Greets members and guests.
3. Provides schedule and other club information to members and guests.
4. Takes reservations for dining and guests rooms. Responsible for updating managers with current reservations information.
5. Processes charges for guest rooms, Processes credit card payments as needed.
6. Remains knowledgeable and follows directives regarding call management; proper handling of calls, proper call transferring, who is most appropriate manager depending upon nature of the call.
7. Sorts and distributes incoming mail.
8. Audits daily chits from prior day dining.
9. Collects and posts outgoing mail (including overnight services).
10. Arranges and maintains member charge records in alpha‐order or numerical order as directed.
11. Maintains supply of club information for members,
12. Fulfills guest request (places calls, holds letters or packages, etc.)
13. Performs general office work (filing, sorting, computer work, etc.); assist with mailings as requested.
14. Handles special projects as assigned.
15. Maintains supply inventory in reception area.
16. Reports and handles unauthorized visitors.
17. Performs other duties as assigned.
