We are seeking an experienced Avionics Maintenance Manager (Inspector) to lead our Title 14 CFR Part 145 Repair Station. This is a key leadership position responsible for maintaining highest standards of uncompromised safety, quality, productivity, and customer service. Dedicated to ensuring regulatory compliance in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, the Repair Station Manual (RSM), Quality Control Manual (QCM), following all IAW and FAA regulations, approved current technical data, company procedures/policies, and applicable customer requirements.
Provides oversight of all technical and maintenance staff. The position requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, effective communication, and a sense of urgency while ensuring that aircraft articles and components are properly maintained and eligible for return to service within specified turnaround times of aircraft articles and components.
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintaining an effective balance between safety, quality, regulatory compliance, production requirements, and specified turnaround times.
Secondary Role – Inspector
In addition to the primary responsibilities of Maintenance Manager, the employee may be authorized to perform Inspector duties as qualified, trained, and assigned.
When performing Inspector duties, the employee reports functionally to the Chief Inspector and performs inspection functions in accordance with applicable FAA regulations, the Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual, approved and current technical data, inspection procedures, and company requirements.
When acting as an Inspector, the employee shall exercise independent inspection judgment and shall not approve, accept, or release an article solely to meet production schedules, customer requirements, or turnaround-time objectives.
When acting in the capacity of Maintenance Manager, the employee supervises production and maintenance personnel. The employee shall not use their Maintenance Manager authority to direct, influence, or override an inspection determination made by an authorized Inspector or the Chief Inspector.

Required Qualifications
Education/Experience
Must have an Associate’s degree in electronics, or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, with an FAA Repairman's Certificate.
Must know company manuals and associated policies, and procedures with knowledge and expertise of standard and specialized shop or ramp test equipment. Must be able to interpret maintenance requirements into maintenance tasks, read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
All Regional Avionics Repair, LLC personnel employed as technicians, are required to have an associate’s degree in Electronics, have an Electronics Technician Certificate, or equivalent Military training and experience that is verifiable and acceptable to RAR.
All Regional Avionics Repair, LLC personnel employed as technicians are required to have an FCC GROL (General Radio Operators License).

Where the employee performs Inspector duties, the employee must meet all applicable training, qualification, experience, and authorization requirements established by the Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual, and applicable FAA regulations.
Must have experience supervising and qualifying personnel, good communication, organizational and scheduling skills.
Required Certifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Overseeing and controlling all technical and maintenance staff procedures ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently following all IAW and FAA regulations, company procedures, policies, completed within specified turnaround times.
Enforces all company rules, policies, and procedures fairly and consistently in the production department.
Responds to Maintenance Support Advisors and maintenance personnel questions, providing review and reports as needed.
Develops and implements all maintenance personnel action plans as needed.
Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all maintenance records in the repair station. Controls and maintains the maintenance recordkeeping and filing system.
Implement and execute the maintenance training program. Update as needed,
Coordinates with the Chief Inspector to ensure all mandatory inspector training is completed as needed.
Qualifies and selects the repair station supervisors, and is responsible for evaluating and documenting their performance. Assigns training maintenance and inspector training as needed.
Oversees the acquisition and maintenance of all tools and equipment used by repair station.
Responsible for the preservation and protection of aircraft articles, parts and materials while in the repair station.
Oversite of the preservation and protection of the hard copies of the technical data.
Verify the evaluation, implementation, and documentation of Airworthiness Directives.
Keeping the repair station in a safe, clean and orderly manner, maintenance of the first aid kits, safety equipment, and power equipment safety guards and for the ESD protection program in the repair station.
Organizing quarterly repair station fire and earthquake evacuation drills.
Responsible for coordinating the regular inspection of and maintaining serviceability of firefighting equipment, including the fire extinguishing bottles, for training and proper use of firefighting equipment in the repair station.
Responsible for accuracy and completeness of all LRU maintenance records and recordkeeping system.
Responsible for hiring, qualifying, and training of maintenance personnel.
Supervise the operation of the repair station security and surveillance systems.
Manage and supervise the time card accuracy for all maintenance personnel.
Periodically meet with Quality Manager getting project updates.
Work on the bench as Technician as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities as Inspector include the following.
Conducts the preliminary, in-process and final inspections.
Records accurate inspections in all inspection areas and that all inspection forms are accurate, complete and filed appropriately
Conducts receiving inspections as required.
Responsible for maintenance release of the aircraft articles.
Responsible for using and completing of inspection checklist.
Responsible for filing and retrieving the maintenance and inspection records when required.
Responsible for checking calibration tags on equipment and tools used in inspections.
Responsible for the proper use of alternate TTE by maintenance personnel.
Responsible for verifying publications control page before using it for inspections.
Responsible for reporting to Chief Inspector any service difficulties or SUP.
Performs all other duties as assigned including, as needed, those of a safety sensitive nature.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the leadership, supervision, training, qualification, and performance of the Shop Supervisor and all repair station personnel. This role promotes a culture of safety, quality, teamwork, regulatory compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the Repair Station.
