We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Care Specialist to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. This role is essential in ensuring that individuals in assisted living, retirement homes, and nursing homes receive the support they need to maintain their quality of life. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to senior care and demonstrate the ability to drive positive interactions with residents while adhering to established care systems.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff members.
Assist with daily living activities and encourage residents' independence while ensuring their safety.
Engage residents in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their emotional well-being.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and participate in care planning meetings as necessary.
Collaborate with nursing staff, social workers, and other team members to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each resident's needs.
Ensure a clean and safe environment for all residents by following health and safety protocols.

Experience

Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, home care, or personal care homes is preferred.
Familiarity with senior care systems and best practices for providing compassionate support is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
A background in social work or related fields can be beneficial but is not required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license if transportation of residents is part of the role.
