POSITION SUMMARY
CNC Operator/Machinist oversees our computer numeric controlled (CNC) machines. Responsible for ensuring company produces quality parts and tools specific to engineering drawings and client standards. CNC Operator/Machinist is a highly skilled profession with excellent attention to detail and mechanical aptitude. In depth knowledge of the latest equipment and techniques is critical in this role, this role is a 2nd Shift role.
POSITION DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES
- Set-up and manage CNC machines to perform different jobs including drilling, grinding, and milling.
- Set up, run, and inspect first article production parts.
- Performs sets up to 2, 3 and 5 Axis CNC machines.
- Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
- Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
- Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
- Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality.
- Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with moderation as necessary.
- Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
- Ensure that results of machining process align with client expectations.
- Conduct regular CNC machine assessments.
- Assists CNC Programmers using edits to resolve errors in a timely manner as required.

Education and Experience
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
Certificate or diploma in engineering is an advantage.
Experience:
At least 5 years’ related experience required in Aerospace.

Other Physical Requirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position such as working at a CNC machine for prolonged periods of time.
- This position requires you to occasionally move about the office to access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Required Safety Glasses
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires an on-site presence. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment and is noisy at times. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
Pay Rage $28-$35 per hour, which includes shift differential.
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
