Be a part of an institution that values, loves and supports every member of the community. St. Margaret's encourages and celebrates creativity and innovation. We ask our professional community members to enthusiastically bring their whole selves to St. Margaret's every day - their varied identities, unique perspectives, interests, expertise and their passion for educating young people for lives of learning, leadership and service.
We recognize that tapping into the culture of a new workplace has inherent challenges. We welcome new members of our professional community by surrounding them with caring administrators and peer mentors who invest in their success. In addition to a robust new employee orientation program, our professional community regularly engages in small team, division/department-level and all-school professional development touch points. We also enjoy downtime together, including meals, socials, wellness activities and service projects.
We are intentional about welcoming new professionals because we want them to feel they are full members of our community from day one. We know this is better for your personal growth, satisfaction and wellness, and your full participation will only enhance our already vibrant learning community for our students. That is why we want you to be a Tartan!
Our mission at St. Margaret's Episcopal School is to educate the hearts and minds of young people for lives of learning, leadership and service.
St. Margaret’s Episcopal School is a diverse community dedicated to developing the whole child. We nurture spiritual growth, an appreciation for life-long learning, the courage to lead and a responsibility to give to others. Our graduates are independent thinkers of integrity and compassion who reveal their resilience and collaborative nature in the face of challenge and opportunity.
When our students graduate from St. Margaret’s, we hope we will have prepared them to be culturally competent global citizens with a strong sense of their own identity, a willingness to see the common threads which run through our lives, a high regard for the value and breadth of differences, an ability to live and communicate effectively in a complex world of multiple cultures, experiences and viewpoints, including the capability and willingness to challenge systems that perpetuate injustice.
The athletic program at St. Margaret's is central to our mission and integral to the learning process. Through athletic competition we strive to achieve the highest degree of integrity, sportsmanship, and mutual respect as we prepare our students for lives of leadership and service. Our program celebrates the student-athlete and the teacher-coach while striving to instill in our students a meaningful and solid foundation from which to lead healthy and productive lives. We honor and value our multi-sport athletes, and take great pride in our athletic successes, our California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Championships, and the participation of our graduates at the collegiate level.
