Full Job Description

Product Manager - North Point Cabinetry

Hardware Resources is a leading provider of cabinet hardware, cabinetry, and kitchen/bath products. Headquartered in Bossier City, LA, with offices also in Dallas, TX, and York, PA, we design, manufacture, and distribute products across six brands, with a strong reputation for quality and service. The Product Manager is responsible for the commercial success and growth of the NorthPoint Cabinetry product line. This role manages the lifecycle of physical products from assortment planning and product development through forecasting, inventory management, pricing, and product launches. Working closely with sourcing, operations, sales, marketing, and suppliers, the Product Manager helps drive profitable growth while ensuring our product offerings meet customer needs and market demand.

This position is ideal for candidates with experience managing hard-good products within industries such as cabinetry, building materials, home improvement, kitchen and bath, consumer durables, furniture, or related product categories. Please note: This position manages physical cabinetry products and product categories. Candidates with experience in hard goods, building products, home improvement, cabinetry, furniture, or related industries are strongly preferred. This is not a software, IT, or technical product management role.

Key Responsibilities

Manage NorthPoint Cabinetry product assortments, including new product introductions, line extensions, product enhancements, and discontinuations.
Analyze sales performance, inventory trends, customer feedback, and competitive activity to identify opportunities for growth and product optimization.
Develop demand forecasts and collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess inventory.
Support product sourcing initiatives through collaboration with domestic and international suppliers on quality, cost, lead times, and product improvements.
Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, product gaps, and opportunities within the cabinetry and building products industry.
Recommend pricing strategies based on product costs, market conditions, competitive positioning, and profitability objectives.
Partner with marketing and sales teams to support product launches, promotional initiatives, training materials, and go-to-market activities.
Serve as the internal subject matter expert for NorthPoint Cabinetry products and specifications.
Maintain accurate product information, specifications, pricing, and attributes within ERP and product information systems.
Monitor key product performance metrics, including sales, margins, inventory turns, and category profitability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in product management, category management, merchandising, product development, or a related role involving physical consumer or commercial products.
Experience managing hard-good product categories, preferably within cabinetry, building products, home improvement, furniture, kitchen and bath, or related industries.
Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and business reporting tools.
Experience working within ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
Demonstrated ability to analyze market data, manage product portfolios, and drive profitable growth.
Strong organizational, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Cabinetry, kitchen and bath, building materials, construction products, or home furnishings industry experience.
Experience working with global manufacturing and sourcing partners.
Familiarity with inventory planning, demand forecasting, and category management principles.
Experience supporting dealer, distributor, or wholesale sales channels.

Additional Information

Travel: Approximately 5-6 domestic trips annually; limited international travel.
Location: Dallas, TX (preferred), Bossier City, LA, or York, PA.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a post-offer drug screen and background check.
