Full Job Description

Sr Claims Examiner
CSI Companies is seeking a Sr Claims Examiner. This position is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, researching, and resolving complex medical claims while ensuring compliance with claims processing guidelines, organizational policies, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong claims adjudication experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple operational departments to ensure accurate and timely claim resolution.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
Location: Onsite in Irving, TX
Pay: $18 - $23/hr
Position Type: W2 Contract

Work Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. No C2C.

What You'll Do

Review, analyze, research, and resolve complex medical claims in accordance with claims processing guidelines, desktop procedures, and federal regulations.
Process medical claims submitted on CMS-1500 and CMS-1450/UB-04 claim forms for facilities, physicians, home health providers, durable medical equipment suppliers, laboratories, and other healthcare providers.
Analyze claim information and take appropriate action to ensure accurate payment determination.
Process provider refunds, reconsiderations, direct member reimbursements, claim adjustments, and overpayment recoveries.
Support claim projects related to overpayments, underpayments, benefit updates, and contract or fee schedule changes.
Execute claim batch adjudication activities and ensure claims are processed accurately and efficiently.
Investigate moderately complex claims issues and escalate unresolved concerns to leadership as needed.
Collaborate with Business Configuration, Network Management, Provider Data, Complaints, Appeals & Grievances, and other operational teams to support claims accuracy and quality assurance.
Assist with testing, validation, and implementation of system upgrades, conversions, and process improvements.
Serve as a subject matter resource for claims processing questions and issue resolution.
Maintain compliance with federal regulations, company policies, and quality standards.

What We're Looking For

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 3 years of medical claims processing experience within the healthcare industry.
Experience reviewing and adjudicating medical claims.
Knowledge of CMS-1500 and CMS-1450/UB-04 claim forms.
Understanding of healthcare claims processing guidelines, payment methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to research and resolve complex claims issues independently.
Proficiency using claims processing systems and related software applications.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or Commercial health plans.
Experience with claim adjustments, overpayment recovery, and provider reimbursements.
Experience participating in system testing, upgrades, or process improvement initiatives.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Healthcare claims certifications.
