Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ASME "R" Stamp and "U" Stamp Pressure Vessel Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding, fitting, and assembling pressure vessels and related components in accordance with ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes and standards. Your expertise will ensure the highest quality workmanship while adhering to safety protocols and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects that require precision, mechanical knowledge, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <LOCATION> welding techniques on pressure vessels, and piping components.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble and fabricate pressure vessels in compliance with ASME codes & standards.
Fit, align, and assemble components utilizing hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and plasma cutters.
Conduct ,machining, soldering, and press brake operations to prepare materials for assembly.
Use crane operations and forklift equipment safely to move heavy parts and materials around the fabrication site.
Verify measurements with basic math skills to ensure proper fit-up; perform quality inspections using schematics and fabrication drawings.
Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials; adhere strictly to safety procedures during all tasks.

Requirements

Proven experience working on construction sites or manufacturing facilities involving pressure vessel fabrication or similar heavy industrial projects.
Demonstrated proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, plasma cutting, and <LOCATION> welding techniques.
Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
Mechanical knowledge of ductwork, pipe threading, assembly processes, and fabrication methods.
Familiarity with ASME codes & standards relevant to pressure vessel construction; certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience operating power tools such as press brake machines, machining equipment, hand tools, soldering irons, and plasma cutters.
Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for measurements and fit-up procedures.
Knowledge of rigging practices for lifting heavy components safely; experience with crane operation is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail; ability to work efficiently on construction sites or manufacturing floors.
Valid certifications in welding (including MIG, TIG), rigging or mechanical assembly are highly desirable.
